A unique music project run by the PRS Foundation and KODA comes to a conclusion at The Miller on Friday 18th August.
Five emerging songwriters from Denmark will be coming to the UK for the preceding week to work alongside five songwriters from the UK. They will create new work that will be performed for the first time at The Miller.
The songwriters will be working in pairs to create their new tracks at the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, with some support and guidance from Ninja Tunes artist Fink who has just returned from a successful tour supporting Zero 7.
Ben Lane, of the PRS Foundation, said of the project:
“KODA is the Danish composers’ copyright society and it’s good to be running a project with them. The project is about giving artists space to collaborate and be creative. They come from a variety of backgrounds including folk, soul and hip-hop and are all fantastic musicians. We think the gig will be something really special.”
